A Little Bit About Me:
I grew up in a small town in New England in a large family where all forms of art were encouraged and appreciated.
Painting since college, I have worked as an artist for over 30 years while raising my family. I consider myself very lucky to be able to make a living at something I am so passionate about.
My husband Kit and I love living on the Gulf coast. The colors of the tropics and natural beauty of old Florida surround our little home at Cowlick Ranch and My children, studio, cattle, dogs, hens, and feisty rooster all give way to great painting inspiration.
Vibrent in color, I would like to think my paintings reflect a bit of my personality.
Over the years my work has appeared in many publications such as Southern living , Chicos catalog, and used in promotions by the city of Alexandria VA and The Edison Ford Winter Estates in Fort Myers, Florida
Currently my custom furniture, murals and paintings are with collectors from New England to Belize and sold in galleries in N.H., Matlacha Fl., Alexandria Va., North Captiva Island, and Fort Myers.
I love to teach painting classes. At the Edison ford Winter Estates I teach furniture, rain barrel and Floor cloth painting. The estates is a beautiful setting to hold class. Surrounded by the lush gardens of Mina Edison, it is easy to be inspired.
My landscape painting classes at Cowlick Ranch attract the beginners and professionals alike. The old Florida setting gives way to many different styles and mediums of paint.
Whether it is a custom piece of art or a painting that you bought in one of the many galleries or shops, I hope you love your creation. I am grateful to be able to share my art with you.
